Why Join A Fraternity?

Personal Growth

Our motto, Kalepa Ta Kala, meaning “Not Without Labor,” is more than a virtue. It’s a demand to make yourself a better man. Lambda Chi Alpha brothers hold themselves to a higher standard and demand that each man commits himself to personal, academic, and professional excellence. Our associate membership program is designed to encourage character growth and reward excellence. We continuously teach skills and habits that form young men into great men.

Positive Academic Reinforcement

At Lambda Chi Alpha, we hold ourselves to the highest standard of academic excellence. We prioritize academic success through mutual accountability and support. Over nearly 100 years at the University of Florida, Lambda Chi Alpha brothers have supported each other by requiring that each brother meet and exceed the standards necessary to earn their degrees and acquire the skills necessary to excel in whatever profession they choose.

Networking for Life

As one of the world’s largest fraternities, Lambda Chi Alpha provides a network of professionals, mentors, and leaders who are committed to ensuring the lifelong success of each and every brother. From CEOs to members of Congress, Lambda Chi Alpha brothers have risen to the highest ranks of their respective fields. As a new brother, you will have access to networking events and professional pipelines that will help you succeed no matter  where you live and work.

Rush Week

Each fall and spring, the University of Florida Interfraternity Council hosts a rush period where prospective new members tour each of the unique Greek houses and decide where they would like to become members. More information regarding rush can be discussed by calling our recruitment chair David Walston at (770) 676-8402.
